So sad to learn of Peter´s demise after a series of illnesses.  Just on the day I returned to Mexico, having had the pleasure to attend the monthly Schurz luncheon.  Peter never seemed to miss and was the life of the party.  He gave me great insighte into the Italian and Sicilian communities.  Even though I spent my first 5 years in Little Italy (Loomis and Taylor) I found he had much to teach me, besides his ever-positive humor and smile.  Though I knew him only superficially at Schurz, he was one of theos "gems" you find you really shared something with in later life.  He blessed all that came in contact with him.  Our condolences to all his family and friends, especially Mady.  I will miss him so...

Arrivederci! Peter.  An Italian goodbye to a good soul and classmate.  We had good times chatting (while we were supposed to be listening) to our Division teacher, Mrs. Voss, Room 357.  You will be missed!

It took my breath away when I learned of Peter’s passing. We went to Mayfair Park and Schulz together. We were always linked by the spelling of our last names. Peter’s name always appeared directly ahead of mine. At the reunion we spent a lot of time catching up. He was hopeful of vacationing in California. I was also hopeful of getting a call that he had made plans. It was destiny that we had a chance to reconnect.

There are no words to describe how much joy Peter brought into my life, nor are there words to express how much I will miss him.  We built many special memories over the past 5-1/2 years.

Glenn Gardner's post truly summed up Peter's personality.  Peter was always happily looking toward our next dining experience, special event or trip.  After our fourth date, Peter began trying to talk me into a cruise (like that would take a lot of work).  Our first Caribbean cruise was in Nov. 2014, and immediately after, I began talking Peter into a second cruise (Jan. 2016).  Our last trip was in Sept. 2017, when we headed up to WI to spend time sightseeing and visiting with our friend, John Franz.  Thank you, John, for showing us around beautiful Door County.  Peter always enjoyed attending the Schurz luncheons and catching up on everyone's news.  I thank all of you for your friendship and support during this difficult time, and look forward to meeting with you in the months ahead.

Peter, you will be missed very much by so many of us. I really enjoyed becoming friends with you at our luncheons. Peter was always smiling and sharing great stories of his adventures with Mady. He was fun to be with and this is way too soon to say good bye to such a good guy. My prayers and condolences to the rest of his family. Mady and John, I know how hard it is to lose a great friend and my deepest sympathies to both of you. Rest is peace Peter
