I'm sorry to learn Joan is deceased. She and I both graduated with the class ahead of ours and just naturally gravitated to one another in a friendship borne of similar interests. Certainly, I would not likely be remembered by most of the class of 1963 but Joan would have remembered me just as I remember her. We lost touch after she entered the convent; it was a contemplative order and her contact with the outside world was reduced to a specified number of contacts. My last letter from her indicated she was involved in writing music for the church and she wrote that she was happy.
