tremendous loss and saddness.   Dear childhood friend through Barry grade school, neighborhood best friend, camp buddy, pj parties, sharing twin boyfriends in 7th and 8th grades, piano recitals, onto Schurz high school, standing up to her Aug. 12, 1967 wedding, etc.

Wonderful friend, always the SMART one of the two of us. Top of the class in many ways.  She will be missed!

Information about Norma that Janet Rees Carlson was able to get from the family.

She had gone to the dr after being confused and disoriented and they did a ct scan, found a lump on her neck which was a tumor on the lymph node and also a tumor in the abdomenal area. It was diagnosed as lung cancer and before she could start chemo they found an ecoli infection. I have a feeling since the cancer had metastisized that it was pretty far along since lung cancer usually mestastisizes in the abdomen. I'm assuming that's what she died from. She apparently had liver problems for which she was taking meds for about 8 years, so had a lot of issues.

Although I transferred during high school, Norma and I were classmates from kindergarten through eight grade.

Later in life, during college years, I would visit with her often in the "commons area" and we would share our experiences.

Norma was always the smartest one in our grade school class and she was very humble.  A very kind person who I am sure will be missed by all her family and friends.
