Eugene "Gene" Arnold Jr., age 76, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2022, after a short stay at Cornerstone Hospice Care in Tavares, Florida. He is the son of the late Eugene and Alice Arnold of Chicago, Illinois. Gene grew up in Chicago and spent most of his years there until moving his family to Ingelside, IL in 1984 and then finally retiring to sunny Florida. Gene previously owned his own leather business with his beloved wife Rosemarie Arnold, where he used his talent to design beautiful leather goods for many years. After those years as a leather maker Gene went on to work at Menards Home Store in Fox Lake, IL. Gene moved to Florida to be closer to his son and joined Lowes of Mt Dora, FL. Gene then retired 2 years ago to enjoy golfing, fishing, computer games, and his small fruitful garden. Gene also treasured spending time with his friends, family, grandchildren and learning saltwater fishing. He was an avid outdoorsman where his passions were fishing and hunting. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother Richard Charles Arnold of Belvidere, Illinois. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Rosemarie Arnold of 42 years, his daughters Tina Priester (Michael) and Cathie Behen. Sons Eugene "Butch" Arnold (Jessica), and Thomas Jacobi. Along with 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
